I am from Troutville, Virginia. After graduating from Liberty University in 2007, the Lord led my husband, Randy and I to live and work in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Lord has blessed us with 3 amazing kids Zaya (born 2011), Uzziah (born 2013), and Zuri born (2015). My husband is a Deputy Sherriff with a local county in the Lynchburg area. We love to spend time together as a family, spend time with friends, and go to church events!
After graduating from Liberty University in 2007 with a B.S. in Elementary Education, the Lord led me to teach at Liberty Christian Academy (LCA). In 2011, I completed my Masters in Education from Liberty University. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to write 4th grade curriculum for Liberty University Online Academy (LUOA). Upon completion of the curriculum, a year later, I was asked to stay on and teach 4th grade online. Expecting my 3rd child, my husband and I felt it would be best for me to teach online only and leave my job as a classroom teacher at LCA so that I could stay home with my kids. I’ve worked for LUOA for the past 5 years. While at LUOA, I’ve served as a 4th grade/6th grade online instructor, instructional mentor to teachers, a 4th grade subject matter expert (SME), and continued to write and edit curriculum. I love providing a teaching environment where students feel welcome and excited to learn new things in a fun way!
