“Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.” – Francis Chan
I grew up in Pennsylvania and came to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University. After I graduated from Liberty, I married my best friend. My husband and I have called Lynchburg home for nine years. We have two boys, a three and one year old. A few things I enjoy are reading, being active, and spending quality time with family and friends.
I graduated from Liberty University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduation I began teaching First Grade at Central Elementary School in Amherst County. While teaching I completed my Master’s of Education degree with a Reading Specialist endorsement through Liberty University. During my sixth year of teaching First Grade our first son was born and I decided to step away from teaching full time. Since I left full time teaching, I joined Sylvan Learning and have been a part-time instructor there for the last three years. Now I look forward to being part of the Onward community and sharing my love for teaching.
