“They may forget what you said — but they will never forget how you made them feel.” – Carl W. Buehner
I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, and I moved to Lynchburg in 2006 to attend Liberty University. For the past three years I have been at home with my children, Emma (5) and Aaron (3). My love for teaching has not waned as I have spent time teaching online college courses through Liberty, as well as providing fun learning experiences for my kids. I am married to Andrew who works in the Center for Counseling and Family Studies at Liberty. Together with our kids we enjoy spending time in God’s creation visiting farms and orchards, eating healthy foods, watching movies, and playing games. In my rare spare time I love to read, craft, and nap!
I pursued an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and finished out my last year of college student teaching at Paul Munroe and Bedford Hills Elementary Schools. After graduating college I began teaching at T.C. Miller School for Innovation where I taught for three years until the birth of my second child when I decided to stay at home with my kids. During my time teaching I also finished a Master’s degree in Education as a Reading Specialist.
