“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin
I grew up in a small town outside of Annapolis, MD. I came to Lynchburg in 2008 to attend Liberty University. While attending Liberty I met my husband, Chris, and we married in 2010. We have one daughter, Justina (20), who we were blessed to meet while fostering. We also have two young sons, Oaklen (born in 2015) and Blaise (born in 2017). My husband is a Firefighter and EMT with Lynchburg Fire Department. Our family pretty much enjoys everything outdoors. We can be found hiking or exploring on most warm weather days!
I graduated from Liberty University in 2012 with a B.S. and a license to teach elementary and special education. I taught 4th grade at Bedford Hills Elementary until I had my first son in 2015. I never lost my passion for teaching and decided to begin substitute teaching in Lynchburg City on my husband’s days off. I truly love education and cannot wait for this opportunity to enter back into teaching.
