Hi! I’m Valerie Müller. I grew up in OKC, OK. I realized my desperate need for Jesus at the age of 13. He saved me and set me free! I started singing because the Minister of Music at our church shoved a microphone in my hand and said “Sing!” I attended a Christian high school and was involved in every sport available to girls. My personal favorites are volleyball and basketball. After college, I moved to Las Cruses, NM in 1992 for graduate school and there met Steve, my life love and ministry partner. In 2018, we will celebrate our 25 th wedding anniversary. God is so good and faithful! Steve and I have served in church ministry for most of our years together. We moved to Lynchburg in 2013 for Steve to join the Liberty University School of Music voice faculty and for our oldest child to attend LU. We have four fantastic children! Jesus, family, people, and music have been our life focus. It’s been an amazing journey so far!
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, vocal. I attended NMSU in Las Cruses, NM for graduate studies. I have worked in the music ministry alongside my husband, Steve, for the last 25 years. I have been a part of choirs, praise teams, and ensembles. I have enjoyed various kinds of ministry and teaching opportunities over the years: leading children’s choirs and teaching recorder classes in the local church; directing Summer Music Camps; being the soprano member of ministering and recording quartet, Forgiven; teaching Elementary music and Jr. High and High School drama courses in the Christian school setting; and teaching beginning piano lessons from home studio. Our deepest desire and prayer has been “Use us, Lord. Anytime, anywhere, anyone”. My ministry passion continues to be Jesus, children and music. In my mind, there is no better combination! (well… sports and drama come in close second☺)
